General Discussion / Can a Sage be introverted?
« on: August 03, 2016, 04:08:05 PM »
I don't know how many of us are also fans of Jungian typology, but I just came across a Sage who says he is introverted. Do we know how common this is?

General Discussion / Goal of flow
« on: April 05, 2016, 05:00:50 PM »
I have always wondered what it was like to have the goal of Flow (formerly goal of Stagnation), maybe because I am in Growth and that is the exact opposite. If you have the goal of Flow or know someone who does, what is it like? My idea of it is this - the Dude from The Big Lebowski:

Parallel Universes & Selves / February 7 Nexus/Convergence anyone?
« on: February 17, 2012, 08:57:20 PM »
Has anyone had some very strange things happen over the past week or so? My life has been turned upside down by a sudden surging and expansion of feelings and possibilities in myself and those around me. I have also heard similar stories from random strangers, including one who has friends who are contemplative nuns who felt something change in the "spiritual atmosphere," some kind of expansion of love. There have also been some other strange physical evidence of some kind of convergence, such as my friend whose husband's HANDWRITING has completely changed after 15 years. Then there are other people having less intense experiences, like having conversations that seem to help gel and focus focuses and tendencies that have been building over the past decade or so.

Just wondering if anyone else has felt it, and I also want to call attention to this event so that people may be able to recognize it and benefit from that recognition.

Spirituality / Decording?

Does anyone have advice about how to remove unwanted cords? From someone like, say, one's mother?

Book & Movie Reviews / Planet of the Apes
« on: August 13, 2011, 12:29:51 AM »
The first hour or so is snoozeworthy IMO, but once the apes get together, it gets really good. It ends with a scenario that Michael has talked about in the past -- infant souls wanting to start their cycle here on Planet Earth. I found the whole idea extremely stimulating and cool, and the idea of having apes come to sentience in my native San Francisco Bay Area was just too awesome! I can't wait for the sequel when we get to see how San Francisco deals with having some hairy ape infant souls wanting to do their ape thing in their backyard!! Has anyone else seen this film?

The Seven Centers / Jim Carrey and the Higher Centers
« on: July 07, 2011, 05:26:57 AM »
This is a brief but nice description by Jim Carrey of having a Higher Center experience - an enlightenment experience, if you will, as described by the Michaels. Enjoy!

The Roles (or Soul Types) / Understanding casting
« on: May 29, 2011, 08:30:51 AM »
How can you validate your casting? Many years ago, I got in a meditation guided by Michael that I had Server casting, and I can see how that could be true. On the other hand, I was just reading somewhere that your casting is how you act in your day to day life, and that a good way to figure out your casting is to observe what you do for work.

Well, nothing I do for work has anything to do with being a Server. The closest I can come to that is that I generally have an attitude of service when I do my work. But all my various jobs have to do with creativity, but it's actually more like re-creation: singing classical music, translating texts, and non-fiction writing. Those are all to do with communication, so could my casting be something more like Sage?

I have also read that if you have an ordinal casting, you express that in an exalted way, and vice-versa which is something I haven't yet wrapped my head around.

General Discussion / Side
« on: May 29, 2011, 05:25:55 AM »
I was reading Dave's overleaves in the new Member Overleaves section, and I saw the category "Side." I have never heard of this -- what is it?

Bodytypes / The enneagram of body types
« on: May 19, 2011, 06:54:20 AM »
I just discovered very interesting information on bodytypes from The Michael Handbook by Jose Stevens -- they were saying how you are flowing out of one type, currently occupying another type, and flowing into another one, on the enneagram pattern. So, for me, I'm leaving Lunar, currently occupying Venusian, and moving into Mercurial.

With this way of looking at it, the body types make sense for me for the first time ever, because I never really fit very well into any of them, and I didn't understand how this information could help me. But this flow model fits me perfectly. I wonder if anyone else uses this model and if it makes sense for you?

Priest / Do Priests tend to resemble Sages? With some ET stuff too.
« on: May 19, 2011, 06:46:24 AM »
I was reading the other post in this forum by SomeOldSoul to my Priest hubby, and he was like "Okay, Sage casting much??" And that got me thinking, because I have pegged him as having Sage casting too, BUT....

1) In the big hullabaloo about ETs that has been going on here and on the other forum (NEVER! ALWAYS! OMG!), I read that ETs are often different roles but usually have the same casting?  Can anyone speak to that?

2) If SomeOldSoul sounds like a Sage, and my Old Priest also sounds like a Sage, can it be that Priests just seem like Sages? And that my Priest might be actually Server cast like me?

General Discussion / Influence of Entity?
« on: May 14, 2011, 12:20:14 AM »
I'm a Server-Cast King with a Priest ET, but I notice I have some very Artisan-y qualities. I get great pleasure from creating things of physical beauty. I'm especially fascinated and satisfied by bringing things from one form into another one - for instance, I love baking, because you take all these individual ingredients, combine them into some kind of paste and they end up being a solid with an utterly new texture. Then you take that new thing and you can make it look, feel and taste beautiful and perfect using other things that start out as a bunch of disparate ingredients but become something new (i.e., frostings and candies).

I also get a lot of satisfaction from building furniture ( you know, like from IKEA)  especially trying to make it as perfect as possible. As far as creating things from scratch, I recently built a miniature (12") Tardis (If you're a Doctor Who fan you know what I'm talking about) out of craft wood from a plan I found online. I'm a good photographer and home decorator as well -- basically, if it's aesthetic, I pretty much know what to do with it.

Anyway, during a guided visualization with Ted Fontaine many years ago, I figured out that I was in the Artisan Entity, or the entity that has the number of the Artisan. Does that make any sense to anyone? I have never been able to wrap my head around all the cadre/entity stuff. Could that be the source of my Artisan-like pleasure in working with form?

Parallel Universes & Selves / Movie Recommendation: Source Code
« on: April 19, 2011, 11:18:26 PM »
I just got back from seeing the movie Source Code with Jake Gyllenhaal, and I was happily surprised to learn that it was all about parallel universes! I thought it was great sci-fi, and would be interesting for any Michael student to go see because of what they do with the parallels.

Michael Books / Basic Michael Books
« on: April 19, 2011, 02:47:48 AM »
If I were going to recommend the basic Michael books to have, I would most definitely start with the Tao to Earth and Earth To Tao books by Jose Stevens. I've had mine so long and read them so many times they are literally falling apart at the seams, but I still get some new understanding out of them every time I read them.

For something much different in organization, but very packed with information, I would also recommend Shepherd Hoodwin's The Journey of Your Soul. It's mostly written from Shepherd's perspective with some channeled sections here and there, and this dual-perspective gives huge amounts of useful information about the teachings. There are even some bonus comedy sections at the end -- I'll never forget the old soul hot tub!

Those two together give a pretty good grounding in the teachings.

And as a bonus, a great book that is less about learning the system and more of a how-to manual for living a better life Michael-style is Searching for Light by Carol Heideman. Absolutely love this book, particularly the visualization Michael gives of what our world will be like in the future. Just wonderful.

Suggestions/Help / Signature lines

Dave, it seems that the sig line feature currently limits us to one letter. I don't know about you, but I'm just not that pithy!
