Soul Age / Re: Soul Age. How to spot it
« on: April 20, 2011, 10:19:26 PM »
Thanks for that, Dave. I had never heard of Sasha Cooke before, but it's quite amazing to hear that elegant singing and sincere, beautiful voice coming out of that old man mask. Somehow that mask makes the quality of her singing more apparent.

And yes, the duet afterward is just exquisite -- what an inspiration for a singer! Thanks again!

I think that is the penetrating stare of the Crazy Violent Sociopath rather than the Very Old Soul. There is an extreme hardness in those eyes, you do NOT see that in old souls.

I love having a clean house, but I haven't yet mastered the zen of making housecleaning into a valuable spiritual exercise that I like doing. Maybe when I become a famous opera singer, we can afford to have a maid ;D

Well, I am sick today with a concert I must sing TOMORROW, so I will be spending the day in bed with Netflix :) Most likely I will be cuddling exclusively with X-Files, though.

Great list, Jondalf! This movie is unusual, I think, because it deals with an aspect of parallel universes that I don't think has been dealt with before. But if I said what that was, it would be a spoiler so I'm not going to say it.

Parallel Universes & Selves / Movie Recommendation: Source Code

I just got back from seeing the movie Source Code with Jake Gyllenhaal, and I was happily surprised to learn that it was all about parallel universes! I thought it was great sci-fi, and would be interesting for any Michael student to go see because of what they do with the parallels.

Drury, I'm the same way. The only bugs I kill are the ones that want to suck my blood and give me a disease, or the ones that want to invade my cupboard and spoil my food. Other than that, they are all taken outside unharmed.

Soul Age / Re: POLL: What is Your Soul Age?
« on: April 19, 2011, 05:26:14 PM »
I think most young souls would think this was just kooky time-wasting airy-fairy cacapoopoo, though if they figured out a way to utilize it to get something else they wanted, they would play along. Baby souls would think it's satanic, and Infant souls are in another world altogether and have their own stories about the Tao.

Were you Anne Boleyn, by chance, or some other poor sucker? The Tower of London is a super-creepy place to visit...

You're right, it wasn't a prediction - it was a visualization of what a future Earth could be like if everyone chose growth through joy instead of growth through pain. Think: aging much more slowly, being able to visually see people's feelings in their aura so you don't have to wonder about what their intentions are, no pollution, and doctors prescribing vacations instead of drugs.

ETA: Yeah, I see I said what our world WILL be like in my original post. I should have said what our world COULD be like.

it would seem no great feat for such a cosmic emanation/expression/force to be able to remember which molecules of water came from a pond in the Andes and which from a glacier in Tibet as they both emptied into its oceanic omnipresence,

Very, very beautiful and moving Jondalf, thank you :)
