The first hour or so is snoozeworthy IMO, but once the apes get together, it gets really good. It ends with a scenario that Michael has talked about in the past -- infant souls wanting to start their cycle here on Planet Earth. I found the whole idea extremely stimulating and cool, and the idea of having apes come to sentience in my native San Francisco Bay Area was just too awesome! I can't wait for the sequel when we get to see how San Francisco deals with having some hairy ape infant souls wanting to do their ape thing in their backyard!! Has anyone else seen this film?

If it weren't for young souls, we would be cutting off our children's genitals, binding their feet and burning witches. I'll take capitalism any day, thank you very much. It's kind of nice to have computers, clean running water, sewage treatment, medical technology, and the acknowledgement that we are individuals with individual personalities and needs rather than a member of the collective who is not allowed to act on any personal needs or desires. Of course, if you don't like all that bad capitalism/young soul stuff you are free to go live in a baby soul culture, there are still a few left that would be happy to have some more members...

If I look at how Growth manifests for me, it is geared toward allowing me the freedom to express the positive poles of my overleaves as fully as possible. It is interesting to read what KarenH said about going toward your life task, as I just learned what mine was, and I see how my "style" of growth fits into that pretty well.

I was literally attracted to the Michael Teachings by an overleaf chart sitting on an easel during a new age fair back in the early 90s. I got a brief general channeling with a few questions, which was about a million times more helpful than the rest of the new age fair combined. There was no "Woo-Woo / Ascended Masters / Grey Aliens" aspect to it, just startlingly insightful information that was 100% useful to the things of this earth. I took a class from that channel shortly afterward, and the rest is history!

Dave, absolutely! A couple years ago he just kind of woke up, and he's been talking about it ever since (SAGE!!). I think it may have been prompted by his breakup with Jenny McCarthy. It's been great to see someone with this level of energy directed at something so positive.

I'm in Northern California in a town called Chico, about a 3-hour drive north of San Francisco. Born and raised in California, and determined to live here always (except for the odd month or so in Italy from time to time ).

You are right, Betty. If something is blatantly off-topic I'll delete it; however, Chiara's comment is valid, too, since I've asked both her and John Roth to watch over the forum and help keep things on topic whenever possible. She wasn't trying to restrict choice, she was simply making a comment based on things I've discussed with her regarding the forum guidelines.

Thanks, Dave. It's not only that, but the fact that I don't think the MT actually has an answer for this question, because not everything has a magical, mystical reason for being. I wouldn't do a tarot card reading to find out why my car won't start, nor go to a psychic to fix a broken leg.

And if expressing my opinion on this or any other subject limits the choices of others to be able to discuss it, I would say that is a problem with their psyche, not my actions.

Thanks for your response, I don't know how I didn't see this before! To be honest, I can't make sense out of most of the casting/entity/cadre stuff, and I agree with you -- it's not actually necessary to do so for the purposes of the MT.

It did make me think about having to choose between truth, love and beauty (I know that has nothing to do with the idea of sides, your explanation just made me think of it), and I guess I would choose beauty. Maybe that's because I'm an action role.

I can only imagine how busy you must be!

This is quite a helpful thread, because it turns my attention to realising what it actually is that I let happen in my head. I would not say I spend 100% of time the way I have described, its more that those kind of things pop into my head automatically. In general, my mind is very busy. I am Intellectually centered. Constant thinking. The racing ahead must be my CF of Impatience.

I can really relate to this. I'm not intellectually centered, but I think I have the intellectual trap, so if I am not dealing with my emotions, the intellectual center goes into overdrive. I also have impatience. I was raised with parents who spent their entire lives essentially dithering and/or dropping the ball about everything important, so I am programmed to constantly be scanning the situation, trying detect what's not being taken care of or might not be taken care of. It's really a lousy way to be. I've gotten a lot (A LOT) better with this, but I'm kind of disappointed to realize that I still have a less intense version of this going on in my head.

I am trying to force myself to switch off, slow down, be in the moment, or at the very least to know that I am not. Sometimes it's such a hard work.

I can relate to this as well. I was meditating every day for a couple months, and that worked very well. I don't know why I stopped -- I guess my inner wounded child will do anything to avoid doing things that involve self-care. She sits there with her arms crossed and says "No, YOU take care of me, Mom and Dad!" Gotta have a talk with that one...

doodeedoo, I like the way your mind works. I think I had a lot of similar thoughts when I was in school.

This question is interesting because it reveals how we spend our days. doodeedoo is in school, so she has to kind of passively sit there and watch other people control things and how that affects the others who are also at the mercy of the controllers. I am a freelancer with many different tasks and obligations that I have to balance and be responsible for on my own, so my mind is focused on how to best do that. I'm not sure what mtscholar does for a living, but obviously it has something to do with language (same as me, I'm a translator). jk didn't really give enough detail for me to make any connection to her job, but it sounds like she is also inundated with various tasks throughout the day.

I know a Scholar who is in Theory most of the time. It kind of looks like Sage in oration, as this person kind of sits immobile, as if on a throne, and yammers on about all their theories about things they have never bothered to actually investigate in any depth. They are just expounding on their own prejudices and insecurities as if it were objective fact. It makes me think of a stereotypical 19th century British guy dressed up like an anthropologist, who never actually goes anywhere, but sits in his big upholstered chair with a huge map, pompously and authoritatively telling you all about the things that go on in New Guinea and what the natives are like and why, when actually all he is doing is repeating his own prejudices, has never been there and has never even questioned the bad information he's managed to acquire from chair.

I know other Scholars who aren't as extreme, but they will confidently spout theories based on half-cocked information -- which we all do, of course, but the difference is that Scholars are proud of being such good researchers and knowers, so they have a kind of unearned pride and certainty about their empty theory.

And the difference between this Theory and actual healthy theorizing is that this Theory is based on CF - it's a manifestation of resistance and defense, not a healthy use of the ability to gather, synthesize and generalize knowledge to create a theory.
