Astrology / Re: Michael & Astrology

What would be a reason I fit so poorly?  I was born 3 weeks early, which would have made me an Aquarius, but I’m not sure that matters.  I have Capricorn in sun, moon and mercury, and my rising sign is Virgo, though I don’t know what any of that means.
I believe that would do it. Michael once said that Astrology based on DOB is inaccurate for this reason and that it would be more fitting if we went by date of conception.

For myself I definitely see a correlation between my Astrological and Michael chart.

There's always been an issue in astrology about the "correct" birth time to use. Astrologers I respect rectify charts, and only accept birth times that produce accurate results. Of course, this doesn't really help when you want to rush into print with an analysis of the latest person to hit the news so you catch it before the public turns to the next ephemeral sensation. It takes work.

Michael's comment about the time of conception is at least consistent with basic astrological theory: that's when the fetus starts growing, so it's definitely a beginning. It's just that it's awfully hard to pin down in a lot of cases.

John Roth

Hi John,

I actually know when I was conceived within about two hours (heh, my mother, what can I say?) and using that information I have to say that it does *not* fit me at the least bit.  But then again I also know exactly when I was born, to the minute and that chart definitely fits me.

I can rectify a chart (I had to do it for my husband cos MIL could not remember exactly when he was born and his birth certificate was half way around the world at the time).  I managed to get it within 6 minutes (shocked the hell out of myself with that one) when we finally did receive the certified/translated copy.  I still go with the rectified one.

And so it goes

Hi Elisabeth:

Saturn returns happen approximately every 27 years when it returns to the place it was when you were born.

Astrology / Re: Astrology and the Sage

I'm a 6th Mature Sage with Virgo Sun, Aquarius midheaven and Gemini Ascendant.   As John said in another post, its not the actual sun sign, ascendent or mideheaven/nodes that are important its the aspects within a chart and how that chart interacts with other people.   That being said?  Most people guess I'm a Scorp, which I am most definitely NOT.

Priest / Re: Goading
« on: June 04, 2011, 10:02:57 PM »
I am an old scholar/artisan and I have noticed that priests who are stuck in the "zealot maya" can be very abusive with goading/guilt tripping. They can dish it out but rarely stick around if someone can dish back ! I find all the shoulds and should nots and the " I know what's best for you" to be annoying. I have also noticed that priest can't get away from me fast enough! No doubt a past life thing.  ::)

Oh My Stars!  This is my MIL and Stepmother.  Why I never realised it before I have no idea.  Everything just clicked when I read this.  These are only two females on the planet who have ever done to me what you described.  Both born within a week of each other.

hmmmm......thanx for that :-)

General Discussion / Re: Cooperation vs. Competition
« on: May 30, 2011, 08:40:46 AM »
Or
I'm in education, and the assumption that students should be competing with one another for a limited number of top grades, rather than learning now to cooperate with each other, is so deeply ingrained in minds and society that it scarcely sees the light of day. What a potentially happier place school at all levels could be if cooperation, with the proviso that everyone contribute in some way appropriate to their interests, abilities and perceptions of the project, were the norm. Take it out a step further into the workaday world. At what general soul age level will a culture have to arrive before the very nature of competition among human animals can be seriously examined?

A dark though intervenes: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Do we have to let the memory of Marx's dictum scare us into never looking again at cooperative models of learning and working?

Just wondering, prior to breakfast.

Or, before I go to bed here at the edge of the world, gee thanx ;-)

It actually *was* cooperation before competition when and where I went to school (70's).  As I worked in education both in the US and here,  I realised how LUCKY I was to have that type of experience compared to what my children have been subjected to.  (That being said, NZ is less competitive than the States, but its going that way with the NZ version of NCLB aka NCEA).

As far as soul age, I would hazard a guess at Mature, so in the next 30 odd years or so, I think? (Dave/ John where are you when we need you??? -- sleeping?)

But think about the recent hullabaloo in the US about socialised medicine being some kind of horrible concept.  Certain factions freaked out.   Now again, with experience and now experiencing socialised medicine, I gotta say both have pro's and con's in practical application (as do most human constructs will)...but if you have a society based on competition, it becomes so ingrained to all levels.  It is a very American thing - and I seem to recall it came on full force in the early 80's (Reagan presidency).

Past Lives & Reincarnation / Re: Weather
« on: May 30, 2011, 08:01:50 AM »
Are you sure you aren't my cousin Chris, from Jackson NJ?  ;-).

Anyway, I have always been drawn to places that were reminiscent of where my ancestors came from.  I'll try to explain this so its not clear as mud. - about weather/climate and about reincarnation.  Stay with me, please?

I grew up on Eastern Long Island....so yeah, I get the whole 1940's NYC B/W image and although my personal "Miami Beach" has always been pastureland, with mountains and hills.   My grandfather, who I was uuber close to, came from Cyprus.  A lot of my childhood was spent with his stories of "home".  So maybe he imprinted those images on my brain (I still have a major desire to go there someday, my brother already has)....when I had a past life reading, I was told that I had previously lived in Lebanon, Latin America, Atlantis and colonial America.  Or maybe its the Lebanon lifetime that creates my wanderlust (Gibran talks to me as no other writer, save Gabriel Garcia Marquez, does).

Sigh.  Well I live in New Zealand now.  It is the only place (outside of the Cordillera Central in Puerto Rico) where I felt at "home" where it wasn't my birthplace.  I live in the wop wops (countryside).  Mountains, valleys, sheep and cows.   One day, oh about six months ago after I'd returned from the States, I was in my hammock and I had an aha moment, where I realised that I had "arrived".  I had attained that dream location.  I even said to the husband, holy h*ll, I've gone full circle.  One of us (the family) made it back to the paddock with the sheep!  heh :-)

Interestingly enough, as a kid, I've always been super sensitive to the seasons.  I lived in South Florida for 12 years before we moved here and I hadn't realised how off the hook I had been, in terms of that sensitivity to the seasons, and to the way the light is and changes.

<if you have made it this far, you deserve a cookie, or a Long Island Iced Tea, or maybe both? ;-) >

In summary, (finally) I think that a preference for a locale or for certain weather, may well be a memory (cell memory) from a previous lifetime.  I have found the older I get, the more certain things seem to be familiar when there is no way in Hades that is possible realistically.  But then again, the older I get, the less the outer externally programmed layers have fallen away too.  Internal 4th monad stuff.

Nancy

Joni Mitchell, one of my loves in this life, sings about folks from her part of Canada being "such sky-oriented people." This Jersey boy is as well, in the following way: when it's unambiguously sunny outside--blue skies, minimal clouds, the whole bit, I am often --- infused with a sense ---  of lives in tropical and especially Mediterranean climes, both ancient Greece and the US Southwest and Mexico. My entire life has been about living in northern climes and feeling incredibly drawn to the flora, fauna, weather, and ways of life of more southerly places. The first time my Dad took me on a trip to Florida (I was 8), I went ecstatically berserk upon seen my "first" palm tree.

More somber skies put me in the mind of NYC in the 1940s, or was it London, walking by shop after shop after shop. Not as pleasant a set of recollections, but equally evocative.

External Monads / Re: External Monads

Hi John,

(just in case you aren't inside my cranium.....again..ha ha ha)

In all seriousness...if you would be so kind ;-)

1.  If an entity exits an internal monad in a negative pole, and then progresses through the others, (as the physical form cannot live physically forever), would it then be predisposed towards having "negative pole" experiences in the remaining internal monads?

1a.  Perhaps I'm losing my mind but it seems to me that the internal monads seem to align with the approximate timings Saturn returns in astrology?

2.  Is it possible, with an external monad, for two entities to switch roles in the current incarnation.  i.e.  the student becomes the teacher, the teacher becomes the student.  Would that be limited only to entities on the same soul group?

Sil vous plais?
Merci

The energy is even better than Phelan? ;)

Yeah and no need to live in a artificial climate controlled through the depletion of natural resources ;-)

You should have come to the chat last night, Elisabeth. Nancy was telling me all about lovely Wellington and awful Auckland, and we found out she used to live just up the freeway from where I live now.

Chat was most definitely interesting and enlightening...if not entertaining (to say the least) heh

She even remembers the opening ceremony of the Mission Inn. ;)

Soul Age / Re: 6th level mature

Drury/Elisabeth:

I have *always* been quite different from my "age" peers for as long as I can remember.  It only bothered me when I noticed that my *uniqueness* made me feel isolated from my peers as I couldn't quite grasp why they thought things important that, to me, were superficial at best.   I never vocalised it because internally I was too busy berating myself for being judgemenal.

Now, add that to growing up in the US, where normal is subjective at best and superficial at its worst (in at least one aspect).   Fitting in, cliques, going with the "flow" of what everyone else was doing.  I was lucky, in a lot of ways because my parents were both very intelligent and different in their own way although I confounded the hell out of my mother.  My grandfather (paternal grandfather) "got" me.  I fully realise how lucky I was to have him in my life til he passed on when I was 10, because that kind of unconditional acceptance and love is a gift that not many people ever receive.

That being said, I do carry a lot of family karma, and I have strugged with it for a very long time.  It is only in the past six or seven months that I feel I have "redeemed" (for lack of a better word) myself through some serious family stuff that went down.
In the end, when the sh*t hit the fan, I was the clean up crew/family consigliore - sort of thrown into it and as I was being tossed I went through major denial (I don't want to do this, I dont' want to deal with it) but in the end I had no choice.  Bloody hard, but I came out the other side with a sense of redemption.   I've thrown off the yoke of the family karma.

But of course now, I have to help the husband do the same thing - ie. throw off the yoke of the family karma.  He is getting there slowly (and I have to admit I am shocked SHOCKED at the things some people do to their own children and appalled at the collateral damage it causes).

Elisabeth - trust me when I say you are the in the best place to heal and then grow.   I will never leave NZ....EVER.  I do believe that a big part of my being able to just be me, has a lot to do with being HERE.  The energy is just so.....good.  :-)

Channeling / Re: Automatic Writing
« on: May 25, 2011, 11:34:32 PM »
Hi Dave,

I am fully aware of it happening, I can feel the need to automatically write "coming on" hence the ability to open a fresh Word document and have at it.  I don't black out or go completely into a trance either, sort of suspended animation, with a few caveats.  (When it happens when the kids come in to talk to me about something, they see I am "distracted" and leave the room and come back later.  I am totally aware that they are there, and talk to them for a bit, usually to ask em to hold off for a few).  That being said,  I think you may have nailed it here, for the most part:

"If there's a distinction, some channels use what I call idea implants, where they channel a concept and then riff on it, putting the concept into their own words. Channels that use this technique tend to talk quite fast."

The idea gets planted, I get into a "suspended animation mode" and start to write.  It all goes down and then I have to go back and correct what I have written as if there is a teacher standing there telling me "no no no, that wording is wrong".  This can go on for an hour or so, or it can be a 15 minute thing.

I'm working on trying to tame it to a specific time of day as it does get annoying when I am in the middle of a heavily referenced psychology assignment.  Heh

So its not just me, OK.  Thanx for that :-)

Introductions / Re: Introductions
« on: May 25, 2011, 09:03:51 PM »
Hi Dave (and everyone else),

What I find most interesting about the MT is that, as with CWG series by Neale Donald Walsch, they immediately make complete sense to me.  That "hey, I know this already" feeling.  Confirmation, I guess, is the word. "The process of learning is merely remembering what you already know."

That being said, I posted in another thread about how I was read by someone back in 2000 and when I went back to listen to the tape (after 10  years) they mentioned that I was a Sage and my energy was very masculine.  I suspect that my guide was trying to nudge me towards the MT back then but I just wasn't ready then and am now.

I asked my guide about it and he gave me a basic outline of how I fit within the MT.   It makes sense although there are some vagaries with regards to certain parts but I suspect those will come to me.   Petrus (my guide) has this habit of feeding me bits and bobs to get me motivated to look further and find out stuff for myself and keep me in check.    Anyway this is what we (he and I) came up with (to be honest, I'm trying to figure out/decode those nine needs he gave me):

Soul Cycle – 6th level Mature
Role – Sage
Casting - Scholar
Chief Feature/Flaw – Impatience
Goal – Acceptance/Flow
Mode- Caution
Attitude – Spiritualism/Realism
Centre –  Emotional

Nine Needs:
Level 7 Communion
Level 7 Freedom
Level 7 Exchange
Level 6 Acceptance
Level 6 Expression
Level 6 Expansion
Level 6 Security
Level 5 Adventure
Level 3 Power

Entity:
7th Level – Healers/Nurturers

Frequency:
45

Male/Female:
60/40

If I put this in the wrong place, I apologise.

How many of us/you are able to do this?

I had a reading about two weeks ago from a lady who picked up on my ability to do this and she was so happy that she wasn't "the only one".  I have always done this, but there have been two or three situations/events where I was seriously compelled to just sit down and write, as if out of thin air.   It happens regularly too, such as when I am writing an assignment for Uni and all of the sudden, this other stuff comes through (which leads me to open another MS word document, write what is coming through down - then go back to the assighment).

Have to admit that its happening more and more now, in the last year,  because I am doing my BA in Social Psychology which is really quite relevant in terms of human geography.  So an assignment topic will come up that my guide uses to teach ME a lesson, outside the syllabus (He is cheeky that way).

Thoughts?

Blessings
Nancy
