Everything. There really is not an aspect of it that is not of interest to me. I devour this type of stuff. One thing though that MT has, that many other systems don't, is the abundance and breath of the material. Also the option to take part in live channeling chats. Later on I have also discovered that more thematic material keeps coming and I am unlikely to ever run out of material to study. I have been interested in esoterics, occult, personality systems, metaphysics and spirituality since teen years, so none of that was new to me with MT. I suppose I also resonate with Michael's particular way of explaining things. And I like systems and this is very systematic.
The fist mention of MT for me was in the comments under one of Veronica Entity YouTube videos. Hungry to find out more about Veronica or anything similar, I looked up "Michael Teachings" and ended up at Dave's site.

The Overleaves (General) / Re: Changing...
« on: July 15, 2011, 10:51:19 PM »
I have just read a bit more on this, from a different channel than I was going by previously and the response is somewhat different. The gist of it is that overleaves are linked to a body, and that usually a great trauma is the only way of changing overleaves, usually by means of walk-in.

In other contexts, changing ones overleaves by choice is compared to changing ones eye colour. Further analogy is given that one may superimpose a use of another overleaf to accomodate a short term agenda, but that this is like wearing a coloured contact lense.

The Overleaves (General) / Re: Changing...

I'm quite atypical in that regard - I knew something had happened, but I'm sufficiently hard-headed that I didn't make the connection even when the books were almost jumping off the shelf at me. I had to be told in a channeling session - fifteen years later when I asked about what had happened. Apparently Michael didn't regard it as sufficiently important to give me a heads up.
^ Wouldn't it be what they typically do - a case of wanting you to find your own answers, rather than serving you all the information up without you validating it?
I appreciate if you don't want to talk about it, but I find it very interesting, and would like to hear about how you have experienced it at a time (not knowing what it was), if you would share.

@Moo - Michael confirmed that it is possible to change one's overleaves. Just to be clear, I am not talking about a walk-in, but about a conscious decision to change a specific overleaf. Also I am speaking strictly theoretically, from what I have read, not from an experience.
It does not sound like an easy thing and I think typically you would change only one, if at all (certainly at a time). Prerequisite would be that you would wish to change and understood why are you doing it. You cannot change Essence overleaves like this (Role, Age, Level, Casting or anything like that). It is only applicable to overleaves that one takes on for one life (Goal, Attutude, Mode etc.) It is also apparently possible to "extinguish" one's CF or at least lessen its hold (more likely).

From what I have understood, the person who was asking about this and considering/attempting to do it, wished to change from an Ordinal overleaf to its Cardinal counterpart - Caution to Power for example. They were working at this, from what I understood, and it was not a matter of switching on a switch, but more of sliding into the Cardinal overleaf. In subsequent channeling Michael then pointed out to them in which moments they are in Power.

General Discussion / Re: Why do we have ten fingers?
« on: July 05, 2011, 06:38:07 PM »
The most fundamental number (and not just according to Michael) of this universe, seems to be number 7. Which is not to say that there are no other special numbers.

The "specialness" of 7 can be validated in physics:
Musical scales have 7 tones, light breaks into 7 colors etc. It seems to me to be the number of "fragments" various energies in this universe break into naturally.

7 is special in many religions and I suspect this comes from various "prophets" or what we would call channels, obtaining some universal truths.

Anyways, Tina, like I said, you are not the first one to have asked Michael that question. I gave you the answer they have given, and they did not elaborate on that any further as far as I remember.

I actually appreciate your question because it indirectly made me rethink these things and how can we validate them.

Ok, thank you, John, I remember reading this, but it has been a while.

Oh was it only the last month of his life? For some reason I was under the impression it would have been several years and also that the IS would be only "in" the body at times, not all the time, since it takes too much toll on the body. Where can I read more about this, John? Was it in MFM/MMFM?

Without Young souls, not much would be done in a physical sense. Or certainly not AS much.

That is helpful to playing an octave.
Ah yeah it would be, would it in. Fellow piano player? Unfortunately I think the 6th finger tends to be rather useless and limp (I have seen a picture of it).

Ok, but toes are useless to me
Do you walk/stand? :P

Moo - look two posts above yours. I have posted a link to a page that not only lists them but also explains them

Octopuses don't have fingers at all, but they can grip things quite well. I've seen some amazing pictures. (Have to resist making a tentacle joke. Whew.)
Octopuses tend to do slightly different things with their tentacles than people do with their hands, don't they :P

Actually someone once asked Michael this precise question before, and I think the context of it was - if our universe is based on number 7, why do we have 5 fingers or five toes on each hand/foot. And they answered something along the line of "whatever works best".

Because that is what works for us. Try to imagine your hand with less or more fingers and see if it would still work so well.

Previous Cycles / Re: Grand Cycles

Re the individuality - I keep reading (from Michael and other comparable sources), that all this individuality is part of Maya. It is something we play with, but we are actually all one. This is incomprehensible to me, since I do happen to have an individual consciousness of myself. But perhaps through altered states of consciousness this could be broken through, if not fully, then at least glimpsed.

Besides trying to glimpse this (for example via meditation, or some drugs would also work), when I want to understand what would it be like to move from this individual consciousness of myself to be gradually replaced with larger and larger and more and more united consciousness, I remember that from what I understood from these high Causal or Astral teachers, is that there is no sense of loss. So for a metaphor, I would think of something I used to have in the past, and do not have anymore, and no longer need it or miss it and it would not even have a meaningful place in my current existence.

Previous Cycles / Re: Grand Cycles
« on: June 28, 2011, 03:55:11 PM »
Yes, Betty, that is how I understand it. A Grand Cycle starts with a casting of an Infant Soul from the Tao, progresses through all the planes, starting with Physical, and ends with rejoining the Tao. And is normally done at different worlds, as different species. As I understand it, Michael is still in the same Grand Cycle as their human incarnations on Earth.

One thing I have never understood myself - or just never heard more details about - is this - I can understand why would the Spark try various planets and species in its various Grand Cycles. But why does it always go through Astral, Causal etc again and again and again? What is different about those? And it has never been confirmed what precisely persists from Grand Cycle to Grand Cycle. It cannot be the whole Entity, right, since we would want to change Role, Casting etc. And our position within an Entity, Cadence etc. determines the Casting. Anybody?
