Cadre and Entity Numbering
« on: May 28, 2011, 02:02:04 AM »
How is Shepherd Hoodwin's cadre and numbering different from the "traditional" (for want of a better word) numbering?  For instance, I was channeled as being in the (traditional) 3rd cadre and 5th entity.  What would this be in Shepherd's numbering system?

I tried to figure it out by reading his explanation at Michael Teachings, but have to confess that I didn't understand it.

Also, at the Michael Teachings under Entity Definitions:  is this the traditional entity numbering here, or is it Shepherd's?

That would be the 5th under Shephard's system. To get Shephard's numbering system, just add 2 to the traditional cadre numbers. This works for the first 5 or 6, then there's a gap, and then they're all over the place. Fortunately, the overwhelming majority of Michael students are in the first 3 cadres (Shephard 3, 4 and 5), so the exceptions aren't all that numerous.

It's easy enough to tell which system is being used in a collection: if there aren't any (or are very few) cadre 1 and 2, then it's Shephard's system. The real problem is the collections with mixed numbering.

So I would be in cadre 5, entity 7 in Shepherd's numbering?

What about the online Entity Definitions?  Is that traditional or Shepherd?

Do you mean the entity definitions page at this site? That's just a description of the seven entities in cadre 1 (or three if you were channeled by Shepherd). And yes, based on the numbers you cited in your original post, in Shepherd's system you'd be 5/5. The entity numbering doesn't change. Only the cadre.
